Dry, Sensitive Skin? Use Oil to cleanse August 31, 2010

Cleansing and moisturizing are the two most important aspects of your skins health.  Cleansers that contain detergents (also known to foam and sud) will strip your skin of its necessary oils and cause dryness and sensitivity.  Did you know you can wash your face with oil?!  It’s actually very popular in Asia.  Hence the Shu Uemura line. Check these fun bottles out!

I couldn’t resist sharing these fun designs.  Not sure they’re still around, but I’ll be searching.  Here’s what the bottle normally looks like.  I will definitely be adding these little numbers to my makeup kit if I can find these bottles (I can always refill them from the original bottle).

I’ve been looking for a new facial cleanser and had no idea what to get! This helps a lot! Where can I get them from?

Hmmmm….I should have included that. You can find it in Sephora (or online) or at Ulta stores (not online). Most department stores carry Shu Uemora as well – Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom.

  2. Great post! Can’t believe I haven’t tried these yet….
