Patent-pending alcohol-free formula Additionally, Jason Sondgeroth, product development director for Gold Bond, underlined that it is important to maintain skin health through using moisturizers as dry, damaged skin is more susceptible to germs and harmful bacteria. “We created a formula that not only kills germs, but also contains seven hydrating moisturizers, including a Phospholipid Complex to help restore the lipid barrier in the skin to lock in lasting moisture,” he said. The patent-pending formula of the product contains the antimicrobial active ingredient Benzethonium Chloride, and has been proven to kill 99.9 percent of common germs and bacteria in 15 seconds, according to Gold Bond. An additional advantage of the formula is that it has a clean, fresh scent rather than an alcohol or chemical smell, the company claimed. The sanitizer, which is available in three sizes, is being sold across the US at mass retailers and smaller grocery stores.

“This is the first national brand to offer a Sanitizer that’s anywhere near this moisturizing in traditional channels (Mass, Drug, and Grocery stores),” Lucas Mininger, Gold Bond Marketing Manager told CosmeticsDesign.com USA.
